Bella Hadid is constantly pushing the envelope, redefining cool. And like sure yes cowboys and country music have been coming back for years (Lil Nas X, Beyonce, Lana Del Rey, others probably). But something about the way Bella chimes in is different. I hate to boil her life down to an aesthetic—after all, her dating a literal cowboy doesn’t overshadow the many other things she’s got going on, like modeling, launching her perfume line, and vibing out. Also her family has their own farm in Pennsylvania that she spends a lot of time on, and she rides horses her self, and this is really not about the boyfriend at all, but Bella Hadid is really blurring the lines between city girl and country girl. She’s living that life!
Over the weekend, she was seen out in New York City in a basic, stylish outfit as usual. But if you haven’t noticed, Bella’s outfits recently have been seemingly influenced by the stables. She wore a sheer black v-neck sweater, off-white pants, both of which fit like d a dream, and then black cowboy boots and a suede fringe tote bag with metal embellishments framing the outside.
There’s something about her style these days that feels more than just “cowboy-inspired.” It really feels like it’s her own city girl style evolving to include her life these days. She looks like a cool young mom at the rich person grocery store in Texas or Indiana or Arizona, and not something that could be easily ripped off by shopping on the Whats New section of Free People.
I have to say I love this for her. The vibe switch really suits her, and like, she can really pull it all off, of course. But her style these days is kind of hard to copy by just buying the individual pieces because of just how authentic it looks on her.
